Can you believe that the school year is almost over? We are in the final stretch! I have truly enjoyed watching all of our wonderful second graders grow and blossom. This has been a fantastic year with a great group of kiddos.
Students had a wonderful time on our last field trip to see the play, James and the Giant Peach! We are so excited about our Big Science lesson coming up in April. Look out for a note coming home explaining  how you can be involved in this exciting lesson.
Students will be working hard in math. Soon we will finish our unit on money, data analysis, measurement and time. Students will soon be exploring geometry and fractions. It is very important that students complete their homework nightly. This is their opportunity to focus on new skills and strengthen old ones.
Thank you for helping your student remain focused for the last quarter. We still have so many exciting things to learn and explore before the school year is over. Before you know it we will be moving into the 2017-2018 school year!
Sincerely,
Carlena Jelley
