Dear Parents,
Welcome to Magnolia Trace and to first grade. We are looking forward to a wonderful year with your child. You recently received a packet of important information concerning the school year. We ask that you fill out this information and return it by Friday, August 14, 2009.
Beginning Monday, August 10, 2009 a weekly Skills Sheet will be sent home, which consists of an overview of skills and concepts being taught weekly. A Homework/Behavior sheet consisting of daily homework assignments will also be sent home. We hope that these two sheets keep you well informed throughout the school year.
First grade is a milestone in your child's life. We will conduct a parent meeting for all first grade classes on Wednesday, August 13, 2009. The meeting will begin at 6:00pm in your child's classroom. This is a parent onlv meeting. Please make arrangements for your children. We will discuss many important issues concerning classroom procedures and grading policies, as well as answer any questions or concerns about the classroom procedures. The Classroom Procedures packet will be sent home by Monday, August 10, 2009. We hope this will allow enough time for you to review the packet prior to the parent meeting. If you are unable to attend the parent meeting we request a mandatory conference. Please call the school office (626-8238) to set up an appointment.
***If a conference is needed, scheduling will begin on Monday, August 24, 2009.
Reminder: No school on Monday, September 7, 2009 due to Labor Day.
