Dear Parents,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself, and welcome you and your child.  My name is Heather Raymond.  This is my second year of teaching and my first year full time at Magnolia Trace Elementary.  Prior to this year, I taught second and third grade at Pontchartrain Elementary, and taught first grade at MTE for part of a year.   

I have been happily married for nine years to my husband, Beau. We are the proud parents of two children, Carter, age 7, and Jackson, age 4. We have lived in Mandeville for the last 10 years and we feel very fortunate to be able to raise our children in such a wonderful community.
After working in the corporate marketing field for 5 years, I decided to pursue a career in teaching. Recognizing the need for certification and having the desire to further my education, I enrolled in Southeastern Louisiana University's Alternative Certification Program.  I received my Master of Arts in Teaching degree in the fall of 2008.  For my undergraduate studies, I received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from the University of Mississippi.
