Hi! My name is Laura Cangiamilla. Welcome to our second grade classroom website. It is my hope that this website will improve communication between home and school. Keep in mind, this site is still a work in progress and I ask for your patience as I work to get all the pages active. This is my fourth year teaching at Magnolia Trace. I have a Masters Degree in Elementary Education from LSU. I have been married for over 2 years to my wonderful husband Vincent. We are eagerly anticipating the birth of our first child in January 2011. I enjoy arts and crafts, sewing, and an occassional game of golf. I am very excited about teaching your child this year and know we will all have a fabulous year! Please feel free to contact me anytime you have questions or concerns.

Homework Information

Each week you have Spelling homework. It varies each week and is different each night. If you have lost your spelling homework please use this link to print a new page. You will need to fill in the words which can be found on your Monday Memo. All homework is due on Friday-NO EXCEPTIONS!

Every night you will be given a math sheet focusing on the skill we learned in class that day. This should be completed and returned each day. We will check your homework in class the next morning.

For every unit in Social Studies and Science you will be assigned a project. Please review the project guidelines once you receive them. Projects are expected to be turned in ON TIME or points will be deducted. You will be given several weeks to complete each project. Project guidelines can be printed below if they are lost or misplaced. Please keep in mind projects and dates are subject to change at the discretion of the teacher.
