Ambassadors
One student is chosen every nine weeks by the teacher. Students fill out an application. They represent their class and collect mansion points every Thursday. The Ambassador is the student voice for their classroom. The students chosen each nine weeks will participate in two afternoon leadership training workshops and one afternoon workshop with a guest speaker.

Commitment: Three after school meetings 4-5PM during the nine weeks they are ambassadors. One school board meeting after school @ CJ Schoen.

Birthday Brigade
Birthday Brigade: You will help celebrate our birthdays. You will present students and teachers with a special birthday prize. If you love making people feel special and celebrating birthdays, this is the team for you!

Commitment: It takes place during school hours. Will have a meeting one day before school to train students.
Celebration Station Leaders
Celebrate student achievement on campus. Ring bells and send celebratory certificates to students.

Commitment: One meeting at beginning of school after school, the rest of the celebrations will take place during school.
Marching Maggies
Will march in Marigny Mardi Gras and Thanksgiving parades. Will cheer at incoming parent nights.

Choir/Musical
Students try out and are chosen by Mrs. Ganucheau. There is one performance during school at the end of Fall and Spring semesters.

K-Kids
K-Kids is a service organization for elementary school students. Any 2nd or 3rd grade student interested in service to school and community is eligible to join. The Mandeville Northshore Kiwanis Club serves as the K-Kids club sponsoring organization. Mrs. Cangiamilla and Mrs. Dumas will act as the K-Kids faculty advisors along with a committee of teachers and will be in attendance at all K-Kids meetings. Activity meetings will be conducted bi-monthly on Wednesday.
Students sign up for the first month of school. Community service-oriented club.

All meetings will be after school from 3:45 to 5:00 p.m. Parents will need to make arrangements to pick up K-Kids participants in car line, as bus service will not be provided following our meetings. Parents will NOT be allowed to walk up and pick up their child for safety reasons. We will follow regular car line rules when dismissing K-Kids.
The objectives of K-Kids are:
- To provide opportunities for working together in service to school and community.
- To develop leadership potential.
- To foster development of a strong moral character.
- To encourage loyalty to school, community, and nation.
A permission slip will be sent home the week before the meeting. This permission slip must be signed and returned by the meeting day. Only students with signed permission slips will be allowed to stay after school for the meeting. Parents will NOT be called on the day of the meeting.
K-Kids Club members are required to pay the $15 dues. Dues pay for a shirt, snacks, crafts, and all supplies needed for meetings. If you would like to join K-Kids, please fill out and return the order form sent home in 1st day paperwork with payment by Wednesday, August 27th. Payments should be made online via MyPaymentsPlus.

Lighthouse Leaders
Chosen at the end of each year. Nominated by teachers and staff, interviewed and chosen by teacher lighthouse committee. Leaders of school. More info contact: Jamie.breaux@stpsb.org
Commitment:
Summer Training, A year-long commitment. Monthly after school meetings, Attendance at whole school functions. Responsible for making up work missed in class.

Maggie Buddies
Maggie Managers
Students complete an application and will perform job for a nine weeks’ time frame. Students can apply for school-wide jobs each nine weeks. Applications are available on the Maggie Manager board by the cafeteria. If chosen they will participate in a training and do their job. We start hiring positions in the second nine weeks.

Commitment: Depending on job can be during arrival time, lunch time, recess time, and dismissal time. Not during instructional time. One nine weeks daily commitment.
Flag Team - raises the flag in the morning and/or the afternoon.
Cafeteria Assistant – During lunch help with the picking up of utensils
Habit Boards – Help Mrs. Jordan update our habit boards and select habits to highlight.
Morning Announcer-
• Pledge Announcer- greets the school and leads the pledge
• Lunch Announcer – in morning announcements say what is for lunch and breakfast
• Daily Motivator– announces motivational thoughts, fun facts, daily habits and jokes
• Weather Announcer – Check the weather and give weather updates and decide on inside or outside recess.
Afternoon Announcer – Dismissal of car and bus line
Hallway Monitor – Students in hallways in AM and PM greeting everyone, showing Maggie friends & visitors where to go, and encouraging safe behavior.
Recess Monitor – Helping to pick up recess equipment, blowing up balls when needed, and reporting any equipment broken or needing repair.
Newsletter Author – Writing a student spotlight in our monthly newsletter
Morning Meeting Set up – Set up for morning meeting on Fridays; help with chairs, microphone etc.
Bus Safety Committee- promote school bus safety; educate students about bus safety rules
Sports Club
Students sign up once a month to participate in chosen sport by school. High school students and MTE teachers run stations that support the skill set for the chosen sport of the month

STEAM
Teachers will nominate a student from their class. If you are interested, please email your teacher prior to second week in September. Will be learning about science technology engineering and math. Commitment: Weekly meetings after school. Parent involvement encouraged. No more than ten students will be chosen.
Reading Club
Time before school for students to read in the library.

The YAP Club follows the BARK philosophy, “Be Aware, Respectful, and Kind.” Students and sponsors will meet during the school year. Mrs. Valentin, Mrs. Dumas, Mrs. Ownby, and Mrs. Ortiz will act as the YAP faculty advisors and will be in attendance at all meetings. Activity meetings will be conducted bi-monthly.
